Airport Security Glazing Repair

Glazing Refurbishment recently carried out security enhancement works in the UK's second busiest airport.

The works comprised the removal and re-instatement of high security bomb blast film in an "airside" location.

The sensitive nature of the location required our team to go through an intense pre-qualification and certification process with the main contractor before commencing with site works.

A live airport environment, with the public in close proximity meant that our method statement and safety plan involved strict time constraints, cordons and control of movement and equipment.

As well as issues due to the location, Our IPAF qualified operatives were
required to manoeuvre high access scissor lifts through the building to assess the work area.
